Did you know there is a skate bowl in the middle of a farm in Langkawi Island?
SB Bowl, a project by the youth community here, who build a skate bowl cafe from scratch, on their own will, coming together during the recent pandemic.
They had recently organised their first SB Bowl Jam, on 31st August, celebrating Merdeka, Malaysia Independence Day. It was a day to remember and something to be part of. With Malaysian pro skater @arina_rahman (Arina Rahman) who competed in the recent SEA Games, as a special guest.
Such unique places come alive when the youth and experienced skaters come together to create spaces for young talents to grow and learn. For me this is what our life learnings is all about, guiding the youth and sharing real experiences.
I hope we have more places in Malaysia where this balance between nature, our spirit and creating life experiences can be manifested.
Don’t forget to visit when you are in Langkawi the next time.
