After over one month of promoting the project ‘Give Them Light’, with the Nokero solar lights for the Haiyan victims who are living in the dark, we were able to get 190 lights donated via friends and fan of iMKIRAN.
This is our first achievement and a proud day for us, and with the help of friends, NGO Humanity First Canada volunteer, Gaycebel and the locals we were able to get the 190 solar lights shipped in, distributed and donated to the two villages, 95 families. Butacal & Olotayan, in Panay Island. It was amazing seeing the people light up their homes after 6pm, like stars shinning bright.
Our work is not over yet, over 180 families still live in the dark in this villages, many in other villages and we hope more will join us for this project and sponsor this solar lights packs to… Give Them Light.

The village Butacal, sent a boat for us after we contacted the village head. Amazing support from the village people. There was no cost to us for this ride, usually other NGOs will be charged from 1000-2000 pesos (Rm70-Rm80) for the fuel, even with the local city boat. We work as individuals so we get things done easier.
