Finding Your True Self | How?

Jharlang, Nepal

Many of us are still stuck in our own unrealistic social ‘bubbles’ that we just ignore seeing true life and reality itself. We only see what others around us are doing, I wish had a better job, wish I made more money, a better lover or wish I had a better life?

Your reality seem to be reflecting around the group of friends and family you are around. And we don’t experience what is really happening outside this ‘bubble’.

Soon it becomes the only way for you to identify yourself with materialistic items, relationships or possessions. When a child looses a toy, intense anger or sorrow is shown. But once the toy is replaced that soon disappears. The toy itself was not the cause of it, but the child identifies itself with it as “I” and being a child.

Thus “I” today itself does not stand for you as a person but you as what you own or possess. “I am this and I am that” doesn’t represent your true self as it’s merely a projection of your outer reality. A reality which you have rationalised to be true.

We have been subconsciously adapting to what our parents, friends, loved-once, media and society teaches, thinking that life is all about money, that job title, getting married, a new car and that new house. That’s the nature and reality for many today, it’s their world.

Many are still dependant on this ‘system’ designed by those who want you to keep doing what they did out of fear, ego and pride! Their cycles of control.

I understand today why my father did it too, as he was brought up this same way, he did not understand any other way. “Don’t fail exams, or you will not be successful”. “Get a good job, so you can make money”. “If you don’t have money, you will never be secure and happy”.

Then I began asking this question at a very young age, “How do I earn money?” rather than asking, “What would make me happy?”

WHO AM I TODAY?

When ‘I’ had a company it was worth millions. But still I had nothing as a true value, just digits, just labels, just my pride and ego. I was still poor. Today I have no company, no car, no house.

From this way of life ‘I’ have experiences, but I don’t see it as anything, it’s not important to me as before, but I make use of it as a value for life. Then I don’t live life thinking how to make money but how to create value into my life and others.

Being a person who is spiritual and trusting in the universe to show me the path, can be magical when things that I think about happens or the path that I’m on ‘feels’ right. It’s like this heighten sense I have of my awareness, my presence around people and spaces today.

We forget the truth of our existence, we are merely visitors here in this universe and as humans somehow we are all intelligently connected, and to truly love yourself, we need to have a complete realisation of loving another, to let go and be totally free.

We all need to believe in a path, some sacrifice themselves with an act of believes, some do it with the act of passion, some like me do it with capturing images of humans.

So if you truly believe in something deeply, it will work for you in ways you have never imagined before. So start by believing in yourself…find who ‘I’ am.

A flower does not wake up each day planning, controlling or fearing to bloom, it just does.
